Anyone know of any pilots out there that have been banded, any problems with the FAA or with renewing the medical. As well i enjoy deep sea scuba diving, any problems ever experience. thank you.

I suggest you check with your surgeon for specific medical questions like this....I know flying isn't any problem. Your surgeon would be the "go to" guy for this info, however!

I asked my Dr about this very issue, and he said he has never heard of it being a problem, but I know that unless he is an AME what they think / say is worthless. I just got my third class done in October, and I choose the don't ask don't tell approach. I would image a class 1 is far less easy to sneak it past them.

I haven't tried Scuba Diving since being banded. Wonder if it will be a problem.
