New to Lapbandtalk

Hello Everyone,

I had my lap band procedure done just shy of a week ago. Found this site while browsing other forums, just wanted to introduce myself. Im a 22 year old student majoring in Special Education, and I also play in an acoustic band on the weekends. Im doing fine with my surgery, but have a few questions, including:

- Why do i sometimes get pain in my left shoulder? Or is this even surgery related?

- Any Protein shake recipes? Trying to find one that fits my taste and doesnt taste like paste haha

- Has anyone looked into the "Couch to 5K" running program? I wondered if this would be a good workout regime for a post-op patient.

The pain is from the gas that was put into your body, its quiet common.. I dont remember having it though, but i was GONE after my surgery.. I personally hate protein shakes and use new whey protein shots that have 42g of protein, but they are kinda expensive..

I work out in the gym and play soccer 2-3x a week.. next semester i will be playing volleyball..

congrats and good luck

protein shots for me are like the vial tubes of liquid protein..its called new whey you can get it at GNC..they are kind of expensive.. but they have 42 grams of protein in it..take half in the morning half in the afternoon
