Help

Hi everyone. My name is Sandy and I live in Bremerton, WA. I was banded in Oct of 2006 but have only lost 50 lbs. I am really discouraged but it is my own fault. I overeat, eat emotionally, and am currently not exercising.

I do have a legitimate problem though. I am allergic to eggs, peanuts, and dairy, (not with upset stomach that people take pills for, but full-blown allergy to dairy). So I have a real difficult time with trying to figure out what I can eat. I do eat eggs sometimes and they don't bother me or at least what I can see. So many things have milk or cheese in them.

Does anyone else have this problem or can help me? I also would like some help on "sample meals". And then there is the problem of support. I guess I need someone that is successful to talk too.

 I hope it's okay to ask this. Its says at the top to post an article. Obviously this is not an article so if I am doing the wrong thing, please let me know. Thank you.

nana,

you may do better getting answers in the nutrition forum.

What about chicken, ground beef, pork? There are vegetables and fruits you should be able to get down.

I feed a boy with severe allergies, include soy, corn, wheat, dairy.

We are able to get food in him, potatoes, rice, meat and produce. It is a challenge but it can be done.

If you've not considered it, perhaps therapy for emotional eating will do you well.

Good luck.
