My name is Michelle and I am just starting my process to get the band. The insurance through my husbands company is a bit crazy. They put you through about 3 times as much stuff as the clinic does to get the band. I have like 15 appointments with various people every month and I must go the gym 4 days a week no matter what. Even with insurace I will still have to pay like 9,000 :scared2:dollars so it seems unfair to be put through all this but, I figure they want to be sure we are strong enough to do this and want it bad enough to do this. Hey does anyone know if we can still get a medical loan to help with deductible? Just curious.
I am doing this because I am diabetic and on very low dose pills not insulin. I lost my mom 3 years ago and it was very painful for me and also for my son who was 10 at the time. I don't want to put him and his future children through that. When finding out I was diabetic, I accepted it as my death sentence. A few weeks ago I discovered that I can live if I want to and I do want to. I love my life and am so blessed with the people in it. So this is my choice to live now. :thumbup:I guess thats it. I look forward to having a place to chat with others dealing with the same stuff.
