Waiting to be banded

Hi, I am still waiting to get banded. My insurance takes forever to get approval. I started the whole process in the Spring of 2008. Looks like approval will be in January 2009. Does anyone know if your hormones effect the success or failure with thye band? My hormone levels are out of wack. Also my thyroid is borderline. No meds, but I have Hashimotos, a thyroid condition.
