How long was everyone really swollen around port site. I was banded on 9/30/08 and I have an area as big as the palm of my hand that is still hard and swollen around the port. I look lop sided in the mirror. the soreness is getting better so I was wondering if this is normal?

Hi Twin, I was banded on the same day! My abdominal swelling has gone way down, but like you, I am still tender and swollen around my port site. We must be normal! Someone on this site said it takes around two weeks, so next Tuesday we should be good to go! I hope.

My tummy was lopsided too ,but it did go away i don't know how long it took as I didn't dwell on it and you shouldn't either.As with any surgery it takes time to heal
