What great words of encouragement. Thanks lacasst! I ordered the book about the 5 day pouch test so I could have it on hand. My doctor is SO cautious about filling - I get a little frustrated. Brandy, is the pouch test the same as detox?

Thanks for your inspirational reply. I really don't want to be a failure at this. I read on another post about the 5 Day Pouch Test and am thinking about doing that to "rededicate" myself. Have you heard of it? You can do a search of it on this site.

Thanks for your post. I too eat when I'm not hungry. I think it's just habit. I hate myself for it, but that's why I got banded in the first place. If I could control it, why band? I have an appointment with my doctor on the 5th, and I want restriction!! : ) Good luck with your struggles!

OMG! I want to keep up with any replies you receive. I too craved hot, spicy foods and yesterday I just wanted to turn the mustard bottle up and squirt it in my mouth! It's got to be a vitamin deficiency of some sort but what? AND as a yo yo dieter, I know I only crave mustard when I am losing weight!

Hi HelloPenny! I'm with Lone Star Loser. You SHOULD ask your doctor again. I ordered the Coromega supplements and take one teaspoon of flax oil a day and my skin is slowly getting better. And if my skin on the outside looks this bad, what's going on inside without the Omega 3s? Good luck and keep us up to date!

Hi! I don't know about the hunger because I felt sooo bad when I tried to rush the creamy things that I had to go back to clears for 3 days to feel better. A few suggestions: make sure you are not having more than 30 grams of protein at a time. I was drinking Isopure (50 grams) and DYING with gas pains. It may not be connected but I felt better when I stopped. Also, strangely enough, Pepto Bismol chewable helped more with the gas than Gas X. Good luck, and it WILL get better. I know you are miserable!

What does it smell like Harleync? Also, do you use it on your face? Like under makeup or at night? I looked online and am very interested. Thanks!

I ordered the orange original and am so pleased that you steered me on to it. Also I found some flax seed oil at Walmart I'm going to start taking 1 tsp of a day. It has the ALA component. Thank you again, you don't know how much you've helped!

Has any one had trouble with dry, flakey skin on their face after surgery? I mean it wasn't wonderful before, but now I have tons of lines, flakes, make up cakes,etc. Please help. Estee Lauder doesn't! Thank you.

No they are NOT uncomfortable like a girdle. After I wore my first pair of spanx, I threw all my girdles away!

OOH, I am so GLAD you posted a question about SPANX because I have a question also. But first to yours: I LOVE them and wore them all the time pre surgery. I'm 5'4 and was a size 18 (208 lb.) so I wore a D and they never showed under my slacks. Just go by the chart on the back and you won't go wrong. I buy the shorts style ones and they are only around $30-35. You won't regret it! Here's my question: When, post surgery ladies, were you able to wear your spanx again? I was banded Sept. 30 and am still too swollen. Thanks!
