Daughter is getting ready for surgery!!

Hi..

I have a 21 year old daughter in the Winchester VA area who is getting ready to be banded in Nov. We are all so nervous for her, and she is really nervous. I have been trying to get her to register on this website for some support. Until then, would anyone be willing to email her if I give her address and give her some words of encouragement?

Thanks!!!:crying:

If she is not comfortable getting online, she may want to get some books. They had several at my public library and I purchased some at Amazon.com. They are great resources and most books include various personal accounts of different people's personal experiences, as well as a lot of information about the surgery. There is also a lot of information on youtube.com. She can watch peoples videos about their lap band journeys. They are very informative.

OHDEBBO.

I understand your nervousness as my 20 yo had the RNY last May and not a day goes by that I don't worry, it's normal. She would not go on line either so anytime I was worried or there was a situation I went to a different forum that had RNYs also and they were very supportive and helpful to me. They helped calm my nerves a bit. Good luck to all of you, Nancy.:crying:
