I understand completely. I had to have an unfill about 10 days ago and have gained and lost the same 2 lbs during that time. Although I did not have to have a complete unfill, I know how you feel. Just hang in there and try and follow the rules. Drink lots of water and exercise and watch your portions. I know the weight will start to come off again and the 22nd will be here before you know it.....I go back on the 23rd and can hopefully get a fill.

I'm new to all of this...why did you have to have your band unfilled?

That's a scary thought to me; paying all of that money for fills and then having it undone? why?

Thanks

Hey Hawki14,

The reason I had my unfill is because I was too tight. A few days after my last fill I tried eating dinner and it got stuck. I then PB'D (where you throw up because it won't go down) several times over the next couple of days. My fills are included with the first year, so I don't pay any extra to have an unfill.

BTW, I see you are from Iowa.....I grew up in the Iowa City area, love the fall but do not miss the winters at all:)

I had to be unfilled cause for some reason my stomach got really irrated and i couldn't get anything down. My doc had just filled me 4 days before and i was fine untill the fourth day and then i wasn't. I think i got irrated tho cause i had a head and chest cold. When I get sick my band gets really tight for some reason.

I had to be completely unfilled due to gallbladder surgery. I was completely empty for three weeks while I was healing and had to start over again. I gained 5 pounds. It was a stuggle, but I measured my food like I always did, and tried my best to stick to it. Once I got my fills going again, it fell off in record time. I've lost 7 pounds since my last fill 3 weeks ago. Hang in there. It will work out fine.

Hey,

Thanks for the info. Yikes, that's a scary thought...I had my surgery done in colorado, but my fills will be done in Grinnell and they'll be pricey. I hope it goes smoothly and I don't have the same issues!

I live an hour south of Iowa City. There's no place like home! Except for those icy, snowy roads...ugh! Just around the corner, I'm afraid.

Good luck to you!

Maybe this would be a good time to do something radical like very low carb for week or so. The low carbing will help keep the cravings at bay until you get another fill. Just a suggestion. :tt1:
