September 30, 200817 yr I had my first fill 2 weeks ago and the first week I was careful how and what I ate. I was satisfied and not hungry. I did have a couple of those spasms that were not too comfortable, the pressure in the breastbone thing. This week I'm hungry and eating a cup of food. Probably could eat more, but I don't want to push it. I have a 14 ml band and had a 2 ml fill. The doctor told me to come back in 2 months or sooner if I feel I need it. I guess I haven't really had the restriction yet or I would know it, right? The so called "sweet spot" that people talk about, is elusive to me right now. Should I go and get another fill?
September 30, 200817 yr I am in the same boat. I had my first fill experienced the same thing. I also asked the same questions you are asking. The responses I have received that it may take several fills before we hit the “sweet spot” I understand that when a fill is done that it causes swelling and that is why we feel restriction at first then when the swelling goes down then we are hungry and the food will go through faster therefore able to eat more. I have scheduled my second fill for this Thursday. When I called the Dr. office they asked if I was hungry? I told them yes so they told me I need another fill. :cursing: We just need to be patient. Best wishes
