Laurasweightloss.com

I just took a closer look at this ad on the right hand side when it popped up on one of the arenas on here. We are giving ad space to an herbal supplement that promotes losing 44 lbs in just 3 mos? Doesn't that go against almost everything that we are trying to convey here?

Seriously, we talk all the time about how there is no magic pill that will make you slim and fit. That you have to work in order to get the results you want with your body. Then, we have an ad on here that is promoting itself to be a "magic pill" of sorts, a fad diet. It does not make any sense to me. If someone comes on here looking for information about the lapband procedure and sees that ad, it looks to them as if it is a viable alternative to exercise, watching what you eat (it actually says "with no dieting") or even having the procedure done.

I know the website either takes on ads to pay for itself or it becomes a subscription only basis, but don't the mods and administrators have some control over the ads being put on here. Can we take that one off of here? It goes against everything I thought this website stood for IMO.

There is a successful weightloss pill. It's called "valium". Take a fistfull every day and watch as you forget to eat! It's E-Z!!*

*Side effects may include dependency / death. Results not typical. Your results may vary.

Nah any of those things, valium, codeine, etc.. make me munch constantly.. kinda like weed.

No FF.....It'll work for ya.....you have to keep upping the dose until you achieve the desired effect.

Oh till you're passed out and drooling on yourself?

Might as well do the tapeworm diet..

Hmmmm.....I think there just may be some marketing potential in that tapeworm idea, FF! Let's go in halfsies!!

That's exactly what I said I was going to tell nosy people at work - that I had a tapeworm!! There's a guy in my dept that's esp nosy so I'm naming my tapeworm, Rob!

Grodie.... Getting worms on purpose? Ick!

They did this in the 1920's or 30's as a diet pill. Then it was banned. Hmmm....wonder why? I could go on with the gross stories about how they were removed once upon a time, but I won't horrify you with it! :) So, Plain we have to come up with something else. Valium won't work for me, I have too much to do! LOL!!! I'm a soon to be nursing student and I think they would not look too kindly on me if I'm an addict or drooling all over myself! :)

And if you watched The Office last week, Kelly tried the tapeworm diet :)
