4th Fill Yesterday..need to vent

I had my 4th fill yesterday, bringing me to 7.5 cc's total, in my 9cc band. I am happy with the fact that I haven't experienced any reflux issues thus far (esp. having such tight restriction), however, did I forget how hard the liquid diet is? I have been moaning all day about how hungry I am- when did I forget? I just had to vent about this. I am sticking to Protein shakes and Water for now. Also, I saw a different doctor this time and he instructed me to stay on liquids for a whole week. My usual doctor instructs me to go 2-3 days of liquids after a fill. How long do you wait after a fill? Thanks for listening.

You have had a great weight loss so far. But I bet it is hard to go back to liquids. I am waiting for my approval from the ins. company and then will find out about the preop diet. I am kinda worried about the liquid thing but will force myself to do it. Good luck in your continued journey. Maggie:tt1:

You have no idea how lucky you are that you don't have problems with reflux! I had my third fill Sunday. My Dr wants me on liquids the day of the fill and the next day. Then mushies for a day after that. I have had a really hard time this week with slimming and was really tempted to get a little unfill. Then today I felt better so decided to ride it out. I have a hard time day two of my liquids after my fill so I know exactly what you mean. A week seems like a long time. I think I would follow the Dr who did your surgery's instructions. Maybe call the office and ask why they suggested a week this time.

My first fill is coming up in two weeks. But when I saw the doctor last he said I would have to go on liquids for one day after a fill. I'll let you know it that changes but one day is what I am expecting.

7_5_142.gifMy Dr. said 48 hrs liquids. Which I did. But when I ate regular foods after that I pb'd. I went back on liquids and then 48 hrs mushies. Just take it slow. Good luck

It is amazing how different doctors are! Mine doesn't require anything special regarding fills. I ate my lunch the day of, had the fill at 3:30, and ate a light dinner at 7. I am not too tight, though, so maybe that is the difference.

Thank you all for the good advice and kind words. I am feeling better today. I think I might try mushies for dinner tonight since I've had no problems with Protein shakes so far.

Our doctor has no regulations prior to a fill, but liquids 12-24 hours after a fill. We've never had any problems. We will be going down for our 4th fill on Monday. We haven't been for 3 months so it's definitely time.
