Congratulations!!!! I remember the day I was approved. It really is exciting. Concerning a diet...your doctor's office should tell you the pre-op diet he or she wants you to follow. I had to follow a liquid and veggie diet for two weeks prior to surgery. i actually lost 12 lbs on it.

How long did it take for the insurance company to approve the Lapband? My claim was submitted yesterday.

Jessica,

What kind of problems did you have? My paper work was submitted on Aug.27 and I was told to wait 20 to 31 days. Do you have any suggestions on what I should ask when I call a check on it. Anything to help it along? Thanks for your info.

I am very happy for you; good luck with everything! I have insurance through Tricare and was disapproved in June. It took a little over two months, letters and more medical records but I was just approved on September 17th. I don't have a date yet, but I am hoping to find that out today.

God Bless,
