Final Decision Is A Big One

Hi,

Well, after researching for the past 45 days, I think my husband and I have finally gotten everything in order and have narrowed down our surgeon choices.

We are Self Pay, so for the two of us, cost was a big factor. However, our health is even more important (which is why we're doing this), so we've given a thought to this.

Anyway, I could go on and on, but I'll try and get right to the point. We would like any advice/suggestions/opinions that anyone could give us on whether to select Dr. Ortiz or Dr. Aceves. We originally had Dr. Rumba in running, but then I read some recent posts and got scared off.

Your help would be GREATLY appreciated! We'd like to get our surgery done next month.....it will be our 20th anniversary gift to each other! Yeah!

We have learned so much from reading the posts on this website and thank everyone for taking time to keep this website going.:tt2:

Hi, I getting my band on Nov 14th at the OCC. Dr. Ortiz was going to do my surgery, but he is unable to be there that day, so Dr. Martinez will be performing the surgery. I have research for about 2 months and the only thing that I have heard "bad" about Dr. O is that he a Mr. know it all and short to the point. Well that was just fine with me. I was glad that I had chosen a doctor that was a Mr. Know it all...lol.... Anyway good luck on your choice and keeps us posted. Would love to hear about your journey before I go in November.
