thyroid meds

Hi all - I take Synthroid for hypothyroidism and I'm wondering if my dose will need to change as I lose weight.

Has anyone needed to decrease (or increase?) their thyroid meds after losing weight?

Just curious - thanks!

Mine has been changed over the years but not in response to weight loss. I believe it generally goes by your T3 and T4 test results and I don't know if those are affected by weight loss.

Thanks all for the responses!

It sounds like I should just get it checked as regularly as I have been (about twice a year) but I shouldn't expect any drastic changes.
