I thought about it, but I decided not to go after all. I think that I am too soon along on the journey and that I would get more benefit from it next year. Who thinks it is funny that one of the prizes is surgery?

I wanted to go and at the time didn't think I'd even have surgery yet. I tried to work it out but it would have cost me about $1,000 just in travel and hotel expenses and there is no one I can leave my 2yr old with. It's still fire season in October and my DH may or may not be home at any given time so I couldn't count that he'd be able to be with our DD. In fact we have a fire right now on the other side of the mountain from us (we're not in any danger) and he's on days off but we're expecting the phone to ring to call him back to work.

Anyway, yes, I really wanted to go!

can you give me a link to the details

If you google 2008 lap band conference it will take you to coach cher's website (she is one of the people that have a pic and stories at the bottom of the home page of lapbandtalk) On her site it has all the information. Anyway, I am going alone, and hope to meet some of you there, there appears to be some great information and this is the first one.
