Crawling out from under my rock...

LOL...I know that it's been FOREVER since I've been on here. Police academy was much more stressful than I expected it would be. I was determined to come out of it with a 4.0 and I did that. :)

food being the comfort it has always been for me, it seriously was the only thing keeping me sane. So over the course of the past 3 months, I slowly lost some restriction and gained 15 lbs. *gag* I FINALLY was able to get over to my doc in Denver (3 hours away) and get a fill today.

So I will officially consider myself back in the groove of things. Unfortunately I won't be able to make my original goal of being AT GOAL by my surgery anniversary, but that's life, I guess. I just have to relearn the good habits and see what I can accomplish. I hope to be down at least 30 lbs by surgery anniversary(Nov 15). We'll see!

It's good to see you guys. I have to take some time in the next few days to catch up on posts. For the time being, I am very, very tired. I worked last night (still at my security job, but in the running for a deputy job) from 6p-6a. Got a few hours of nap this morning, then I've been awake since 8:30am. So I'm exhausted and just need to try to get a nap.

I look forward to getting reacquainted with everybody!

Seems like the theme on Nymph board is starting fresh! Congrats on your 4.0 you should be proud of yourself. Now kick off those 15lbs. you can do it. Keep coming back here for support...this is a great group of people. The best.

Welcome back, Steph! Congrats on your awesome grades! Are you a police officer now? Bet those extra pounds will slip off now that your classes are over. I was hoping to be closer or at goal by my 1 year bandiversary too. Not going to happen but its OK. I will get there in time and so will you.

I think those 15 pounds better watch out. They are no match for Officer Steph with an impressive 4.0! If you can pass the police academy with stats like that, you can lose those pounds. You just needed to be finished concentrating on one thing, so you can concentrate on the pounds.

Thanks, guys! I appreciate the welcome back. It's always kind of hard to tuck tail and come back to the group. LOL

I'm not officially a police officer, yet. I am conditionally certified as a peace officer in the state. But I'm not sworn in anywhere. My offer with the Sheriff is conditional on the background check (which should go well - I'm clean). So most likely I have it. I just have to wait for the red tape, I guess.

Well...off to a good start. It's AMAZING what a liquid diet can do to a person. I'm down 5.5 lbs of my 15 already. I'm so happy. I KNOW now that I can get down to my goal weight. I got really discouraged when I got up that high - thinking it was over for me. But I'm recommitted and even giving away the junk food I bought before the fill that I REALLY wanted. Ugh. But sacrifice is necessary to get what I want.

I'm also looking at joining up with Curves to get a good circuit training in there. I'll probably pick up running again soon...but would like to especially get on with the strength training. It would really help with my new job.

Congratulations "Officer" Steph, good going girl !

I'm sure you'll conquer those 15 lbs and hopefully be at goal by the end of the year.
