That asshat is my new favorite word?

I don't even know what it means but it makes me laugh every time I type/say it.

=)

Ok I have to admit that I have an alltime favorite word too!! It is, drum roll please, SALPINGOPEXY. Say that over and over it is just fun. I learned that when I was going through medical terminology class. It means a fixation of the fallopian tubes, weird huh??

Welcome back Gibson! We missed you.

Asshat...can't say I've ever heard it, but I shall add it to my lexicon. I'm all for expanding my vocabulary!!

hee hee hee

You girls are so funny. =)

Get this....I started low-carbing yesterday. Low-carbing is the only way I've ever dieted successfully in my almost 39 years on this planet. So, after ONE DAY of low-carbing, I woke up at 296 pounds. That's two pounds less than I've ever been from SEVEN MONTHS AFTER MY STINKIN' SURGERY!!!!!

SO, I'm happy and irritated at the same time. Now, this means if I lose 10 pounds before my appointment on the 11th he'll probably refuse to give me a fill again. That's why I'm going to carry lead in my pocket. =) (Seriously..)

Take that, Dr. ASSHAT!!!!! =)

Perfect solution for a Dr. Asshat. Now you just have to keep a straight face when you get on the scale. Least this way you can struggle to diet some weight off and still get the fill you so badly need. It sounds like he thinks the only indicator is how much weight you are losing. What about how much you are able to eat, have you had anything get stuck, are you having trouble with any foods, do you have any acid reflux, how much Water and Protein are you taking in per day, how much exercise? These are questions my doctor asks me every single visit. They are all indicators of your band status. Bahhh, nevermind me, I know you know you need a fill and sounds like you've found the answer to get a fill from him. Does he ever do fills under flouro?

Good luck with the low-carbing approach; it is not something I can do but I do know that it is successful for many.

As for carrying lead in your pocket...if you put it in a stocking, it would make a good weapon with which to knock your doc unconscious, then grab the needle, and fill-er-up!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
