It depends on the surgeon and on your insurance company. It is a little faster if you are self pay. There are a lot of variables to consider.

Personally, I am exactly 8 months from Information session to surgery date. And, boy, it was a long 8 months!

They are not having you do liquid diet for 2 weeks . I keep reading about pre-op diet

The surgery for me wasn't painful at all. An hour after the surgery I was up walking around feeling great. My flight home from Mexico to Florida wasn't quite comfortable though. I flew home two days after

my surgery, if I could have waited another day I would. I had a lot of gas in me from surgery and sitting on a plane for many hours with your stomach bloated is very uncomfortable. Other then my discomfort on the plane ride i've had no pain.
