The fat person shadows me

I'm near target weight now. I'm in medium clothes, people make lovely comments about my weight loss, I feel better for it..

but....

I still sometimes see the fat me in the mirror. I don't want to, but I do. Why is that? Am I alone in that?

...that's the shadow in our minds of our little Fat Buddie Selves obscuring the sunlight....

eventually he goes away....

by the way.....congratulations on your success!!!

Thanks for that Jack.

I hope that at some point the shadow fades away completely.

My shadow is slowly fading - but it's still there - I know that when I want into a room of pple I don't know they see a thin person and that's how they know me now - they don't know that person who is standing in the back ground - She's there - but I am really working towards getting her out of my life for good cuz I am afaird of her and that she will take over my body again if I keep her around..
