Protien Bars

Does anybody eat protein bars in between meals? And also is this ok to do. I get very hungry in between breakfast and lunch and I want something to carry me over.

Laura, I haven't had any protein bars since I've been banded, but I know what you mean about getting hungry. Here's what a typical day looks like for me as far as timing: breakfast (protein shake), about 8:00 or so, on my drive to work; lunch, around 12:00; mid-afternoon meal, about 3:30, or I'll have a protein shake in the car on my way home at 4:30; dinner, around 7:30-8:00. I probably consume something about four times a day and try to space those times pretty evenly - that seems to help me a lot with hunger. Hope this helps! :)

My job requires me to be in the car driving all day and I carry a protein bar with me at all times. I get hungry between meals sometimes, and it's better to keep a protein bar with me than risk driving through Wendy's for a Frosty!! They DO help me and get me through 'til the next meal (the bars, not Frostys!!). Just be sure you get the ones without tons of carbs. I've tried several brands from Sam's and like quite a few of them. Just gotta keep an eye on the ingredients rather than go by how attractive the packaging might be!
