I am looking for someone with a similar situation. I have a 31.9 BMI, weigh 188, and was banded on 8-15-08. I self-paid for surgery I need to talk some issues out with someone. I am only telling my family and hubby about my band. Is there anyone out that who can relate.

Not sure what you mean? I told family and friends, even started telling co-workers, well after i told one particular co-worker it seemed it was out there for discussion, i kinda wanted to not be so known but then i thought god why not get support from the ppl that see me daily...

and if you felt you need the help of the band no matter what ur weight and bmi then gratz for you takin the step!!!

Peaches, If you are just looking for personal support...I'm here for you. We can email or chat personally anytime, we don't have to just keep it to this board. My BMI is way higher, and insurance is covering me, but all of the rest of the issues may be similar. I get banded on the 28th.
