Nashville Docs and Support Groups

I used to live in Nashville and in the process of trying to move back there. I am about 18 months post band. Looking for some recommendations on Docs in the area for fills and if there are any support groups that are open to other patients. I was banded in Kansas City by Dr. Malley. Love him and staff but that is a bit far to commute for fills if I need them.

Thanks

Jonathan,

I just relocated to Nashville earlier this year. I was banded by Dr. Malley on 2/2/06. I have been looking for a support group in the Franklin/Spring Hill area and have not found on yet.

I am still going back to Dr. Malley for fills. The issue is the coverage by insurance. It is cheaper for me to go back then pay here. I beleive it is called the Centennial Center for the Treatment of Obesity that is the cheapest (?) place for fills. Let me know when you get moved.

Most support groups will take patients from any doctor. I would suggest trying Baptist Hospital in Nashville.

There are a few support groups in the Franklin area. One is on the first Monday night of the month at the Franklin Library. It is run by a nurse from Centennial Hospital. I think it starts at 6pm.

Hi! I am going through the Baptist Metabolic Surgery Center, their phone # is 615-284-2400. they seem like a great group (I am going to go to dr mcdowell. He's really nice) and they have support groups that meet at their offices. I think the lap band one meets the second tuesday of every month. call and talk to amy and see if they do fills too.

Hope the info helps!
