Filled last week...

I had my 1st fill last Wednesday. I really didnt notice any difference until yesterday. Now I feel restriction!! Not too much, actually, feels pretty good to be restricted.

Good deal! They say it can take up to 2 weeks for a fill to kick in. I don't know what the "science" behind that is, but so many people say it happens to them that I believe it.

Yes you are right, that is probably the reason why my Dr. has me go and eat solids before I head back to California, while still in TJ just to make sure I am not too tight and food does go down then once I know Iam ok with food going through it is liquids for 3 days. Then back to solids, I can usually tell though if I will have problems with solids just by how the liquids are going through while he is doing it. I'd rather be under filled then over filled, that is for sure. I have been very fortunate to not have any problems with being overfilled with my 3 fills

La_madam:

Would you please share who did your surgery? I am considering a couple of doctors that I see are in TJ. That sounds really good that your doctor checked to see that you can eat before letting you go.

teebolz - considering banding

Patty-bandsister...

I'm so jealous. I've had my second fill and still feel very little restriction. What size band do you have and what is your current fill level?

you are doing great!

  • 2 weeks later...

Daisydoodle,

I have the larger band and had my 5th fill this week. I have pretty good restriction now, but up until then I had none at all. Dont be disheartened, a couple more fills and you will be fine. Im lucky my Dr lets me come in each week until I have restriction.
