I have my pre-op class today and I was just wondering if anyone else has gone to one of these. How long do they take? What should I expect?

Either way I'm really excited because it's one step closer to my surgery in 10 days! :tt1:

Also, did anyone do slimfast for 10 days before their surgery? I think that's what I will try.

I have my pre-op class today at SW Wash Medical Center. My surgery date is the same as yours as well as the surgeon, Dr Patterson on 7-18-08. Maybe we will see each other.

As for pre-op diet, I was not told to drink opti fast 10 days prior to surgery. All I was told to do was eat their pre-op diet which includes stuff like cottage cheese, tofu, tuna, salmon, chicken etc.

I have my pre op on the 9th and my surgery on the 16th... I am on a liquid only diet for 2 weeks.. I am starving!!!
