7 Days to go!!!!

WOOO-HOOO...I am getting banded next Thursday! I am super excited but this pre-op diet is hard! Anyone else going through this?? I have to do 2 Protein shakes a day, then a protein & veggies for lunch...I have never been so hungry!

Can anyone give me ideas of things that I can eat now (& still shrink the liver) and things to eat after banded???

Thanks

I feel your pain. I am going through the same thing right now though I am getting banded in 12days. I am drinking four slimfast shakes a day plus one to two yogurts. Low fat and low sugar. I am not able to eat any food that you need to chew. I have already lost 30lbs in the past five months but they still want me to do this stupid diet. Just hang in there it will be worth it. At support group they told me this you will never have to lose the weight again once you get the surgery! Good LUCK!!!

I too am a preop diet of Optifast. I'm on day 3 and it's killing me, lol. I'm getting banded on Tuesday. Good luck to you.

Everyone on this site can relate! It's the hardest part of the process. My doctor allowed pureed soups, low fat yogurt, sugar free ice pops, fruit smoothies and sugar free jello. Good luck!
