How long does a PB take to get out?

Recommended Posts

This may be a weird question but... How long does it take you to get out whatever is stuck/bothering you?

From the time the salivary response goes into overdrive and the sliming begins and then the foaming, etc., it takes me 30-90 minutes just to get to the end of the episode. Fortunately, I work at home and have only had these incidents there, so it's at least manageable. (Though my family wonders where I've gone to when I spend so much time in the bathroom...) I try hard not to force it up since retching/heaving can cause slippage.

But how do the rest of you who live and work outside the home deal with this? :confused2:

My sliming episodes only last a few seconds to under a minute. Get the stuff up and I'm fine...plus it's well lubricated making it easier. It's from the esophogas and my stomach doesn't do anything.

But that's just if I ate more than I should.

If I eat the wrong thing {done it 2-3 times and I avoid that like the plague} then it takes hours. Unlike sliming, this is like gut wrenching thrusts. Feel like I'm going to die, hurts like the dickens, too.

It varies for me as well. I think it depends on how quickly I notice I'm stuck. If it's pretty early on, I can basically lean over the toilet and it comes out. Sometimes, it takes a little more work.

If I'm an absolute idiot and eat something I know will get stuck...I pay the price. Usually a few trips back and forth to the bathroom. My husband says...

"Round two, Angela vs. the toilet.

Round three...etc." Smartass! LOL!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
