Banded April 25th - HELP!

Hi Everyone:

I had my band put in on April 25th I have had two fills so far am due for another this Thursday. My port is on the left side of my bellybutton. I have had a great deal of pain on my left side in the tummy region but further to the back. I thought it was perhaps I hadn't had a BM but I had a really good one (TMI) today and it still really hurts.

I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing this - its quite uncomfy. Any help would be appreciated...

Thanks

Bandess

No I haven't had what you described. I do know that as we lose weight, the port moves. Maybe your abdominal muscles are reacting? Could you give your dr a call? Maybe he has some advice for you.

Bandess - my port is in my chest/shoulder area. I had problems after banding and my flipped (it was very painful). You should get them to check you out when they do your fill today. I hope all turns out okay...please let us know how you are.

I would say, get your self cleaned out, ask your doctor if you can take a mild laxetive-can't spell today , you should go more offten due to the food you are eating, should go atleast 1 time a day three is better. I know it took a while for the inside to heal, but if the pain does not go away have them do a xray to see where the port is sitting. I had my port on the far left twice and now it is sitting by my bellybutton. since I have lost more weight the discomfort has gone away, my roll made it difficult to lay flat.

I am glad to hear I am not the only one that has had her port flipped and detached, TWICE, the doctor had to attach it with mesh the last time and the other two did a number on my muscle and I am just now about to work out, besides walking. but I am still glad I have done the surgury. started the process may of 07(289) surgury in Jan of 08 and today I am 220.8 Goal was a pound a week and so far staying on track.
