Surgery Date?

When did your surgeon set your surgery date for you? Was it after all other appointments (psych, dietian, etc.) or was it after your insurance company let you know whether or not you were covered?

for me I contacted him on thursday-he set surgery date for wednesday-site unseen and no medical records-kinda freaked me but he had very good referals and I had cash-lol.I was planning on going thru dr spiegel in houston but when my insurance was denied and I realized I would have to pay myself I went looking for more cost effective places-I never had psych evals or anything thru anyone.
