Having some trouble

Hi All -

I am going on 7 weeks since my surgery. Things have been going well. I am down 37 pounds but have been stuck at that for a while now. I think I know why and it is becasue I have been eating more. I am hungry. I am not due for my first fill until July 29th so I have to wait a while. I am sure many people go though these slumps but I was wondering how all you sucessfuuly bandsters dealt with it. I am look for some suggestions, tips and techniques.

I have been walking every night for at least an hour and I have been super active. I will take all the suggestions I can. Thanks

Ideas:

1. Call your doc to see if you can get in for a fill; it sounds like you need more restriction.

2. Track your food so you can control it. Use FitDay.com, NutritionData.com, or something else. If you can see what you are eating (and the breakdown), you can make a conscious effort to change it / adjust it.

3. If you are hungry, and you have already eaten your 4oz or so for your meals, drink more Water and go do something that will distract you from eating. Water your plants, take out the garbage, vacuum, take a quick walk... something away from the kitchen and food.

Just some thoughts. Good luck!

Hey there.

It sounds like you are doing great. If you have lost 37lbs since surgery that averages to more than 5 lbs a week! That is great.

I know that my Dr. wll not give me a fill if I am losing at a fast pace as he feels the band is doing its job. I do however remember being stalled around the 2 month mark...no matter what the scale would not move for about 2-3 weeks and then all of a sudden it started coming off again.

Keep up the great work!
