It Figures......

I got a call Thursday from one of the nurses saying they had a cancelation for June 12 and if I wanted to fill it. (my surgery is scheduled for July 24) I regrettfully told them "no". I leave for a 2 week vacation in Florida the 13th. I told them if it comes up again after the 27th, I'm there, but "I've GOT to go to Florida." Plus as much as I am nervous about my 2 weeks of all liquids, I would have only gotten barely a week of that in and still haven't been scheduled for my pre-opt tests yet. My mind and body have been wrapped around the 24 of July, so that's what I going to do. But it would figure they would call when there's no way that I could move up. They might have spies at the airport booking terminal.:incazzato: Hahaha Susan

Just your luck, but on the bright side you have a nice vacation ahead without any worries. I would just enjoy your vacation and start on the little things they all tell us . Drink/slip water and slow down and chew chew chew when we eat and excercise.

I say it's good you decided to wait. It was dumb of them to call. It wouldn't have been fair to not even have a week of your pre op diet, that could have screwed things up if you decided to do surgery on the 12th. Either way I hope you have a wonderful vacation and after that you will be getting banded YAY

I live in the Kansas City area too Susan and my surgeon's office also called me to reschedule my surgery earlier, however, mine only called 2 days in advance. Luckily, I was only supposed to be on the pre-op diet 2 days anyway so I had time to do my 2 day pre-op diet before surgery, so I'd say if you get the opportunity again for surgery 1 week or less earlier than you're scheduled for now, go for it. Have fun on your vacation. I was just banded 3/19 of this year and love my band.
