Hi there...Obesityhelp.com has lists of surgeons in every state. I had my band placed by Dr. Ikramuddin at the U of M/Fairview hospital. There is also a lap band doctor at Hennepin County Medical Center and a few at Abbott.

If you need more info, let me know!

Megan

Deb, I'm in ND and posted in the Minnesota area. Megan responded that she was banded at Fairview University Hospital in St. Paul. I also know my cousin was banded somewhere in Mpls/St. Paul. Between the awesome hospital in Minneapolis/St Paul area and Mayo clinic at Rochester, I would feel very confident you will find good health care with your band. Bummer, I had hoped I could ride motorcycle around the world someday and stop and visit you in SA.

Thank you ladies, that's hopeful...wouldn't you know it, I get something that HAS to be monitored and he gets a nibble...still just a nibble but you can imagine my secret panick!

He hates his boss here...suffice it to say that after 11+ years and all the stuff that's happened there are less expats here which means having an idiot for a boss is much harder to deal with so I'm encouraging him but secretly scared I won't be able to find medical support....however, according to the Canadian band site, they use all three there so....possibilities do exsist! Yipee!

Road Queen, not to worry, it probably won't happen and we'll be here for the next three years, the job is written for him so you know what happens with those. What do you ride? I have an 883...I'm thinking of moving to the Fat Boy...

BTW, if you like Rally's there's going to be a Middle East Rally in November in Oman...beautiful country...
