June Exercise Challenge

Well I have taken over the reigns for this month as Frangi gets ready for her big round of PS! (Yeah for her...still green with envy that I have to wait 1 month 2 days!)

This challenge is open to anyone including those banded WHENEVER!!!!

This is a great group of people who are highly motivating and fun to chat with. While we will be temporary losing 2 of our biggest exercisers to the land of Plastic Surgery (TexasBecky :biggrin:and Frangipani:biggrin: still green with envy) I hope that we can gain some new friends here.

Becky and Frangi - Still come and cheer us on!!!

There are no rules...just post your goal and do your best to meet it. Some post time goals, session goals, and the crazy ones like me post mile goals.

Good luck!

Morning everyone. Sorry I have been away. I had to go to my lap-band doc to get medica clearance for my TT. He was so excited over my weight loss that they are going to feature me on their website, newsletter, office poster, and possibly their upcoming advertisement campaign. I go in for a photo shoot on August 11!!! I should be mostly healed from my TT!!

I did get in one workout while I was gone. I did a 5 mile run and 20 minutes on the bike!

Don't think I will be getting in a workout tonight as I have to help out with graduation stuff, but I have a 5-10 miler planned tomorrow night.

Did a 7mile run/walk this monring.

So far 16 miles this week. I have a 12 miler (11 mile run/1 mile walk planned for tomorrow). I hope I can make it. I have been having a bad time with hyperventilating the last week or so and it is has made working out VERY difficult.

Forgot to report in yesterday but I did in fact run my 11 miles and walked 1. Actually I got sick of walking and just ran the last .5 miles. I just wanted to get home.

Well Karri, we sure haven't had many participants this month have we? Everybody always starts out with good intentions and then they disappear. Unfortunately, today is probably my last day for a while. I am going to really, really miss exercising, so I hope it is not too long before the doctor lets me at least start walking and lifting upper body weights.

You are, as always, having an amazing month of exercise. Keep up the good work and best of luck on the upcoming marathon. I know you'll do great. Your surgery is just around the corner now. I'm sure you are anxious to get it over with too. You are in great shape, so you should bounce right back. I know you'll be very eager to get back to running, but be sure you follow all the doctor's orders on that.

I'll be checking in on my PS thread as soon as I can and I be watching for your thread with great interest. Good luck girl! You deserve all the best, Becky

I did my cardio and weights today.

CRAZY ATES JUNE EXERCISE CHALLENGE

7/7 CARDIO 3/3 STRENGTH TRAINING

Hello~ Just wanted to check in! Today I ran/walked on the treadmill 2.51 miles. I missed several days lately and I will have to really step it up to meet my 35 miles by the end of June. I also have to update my weight...recently lost another pound! Salsa....if I lived near you I would hire you to be my trainer....LOL!!

OK reread the posts and I get it now.

I am having surgery on Friday, but my DR says I can resume my current exercise program the day after

So....

My goal for the 2 weeks following surgery is to walk 3 miles every day, and strength train on Tuesday and Thursday.

After that I want to get back in the Water 3 x a week and do 2000 meter swim WO in addition.

There. It is in writing.

Congrats on making the commitment. That is the hardest step. Look forward to hearing from you.

I ran 3.1 miles this morning and will be going back for another round after work. Today starts the daily doubles. The plan is to do daily doubles at least 3 days per week until the half-marathon. The legs are good, but I am still working on the lungs!

I did manage to squeeze in another hour of cardio today. I'll be gone for a while recovery from surgery. Good luck to all of you on making your June goals!

CRAZY ATES JUNE EXERCISE CHALLENGE

3.1 miles today...gotta get going if i'm going to make it to 60

Hey everyone. Well, I joined this challenge hoping it would give me some motivation to stay on track. I have been lazy lazy LAZY! So far I only have 135 minutes out of 600 of cardio done and 1 out of 8 strength training. Boy do I stink at the exercise! There, I admitted it! SO, now I am going to kick it in to high gear. I can still make this goal this month. I think.....
