Weight Loss.

This is a thread for all of us to post our current weights and how much we have lost.

I'm not banded yet, won't be until around November.

I started out at 419 lbs though on April 16th.

On May 6th I was down to 416.

On May 16th I was down to 410.5

On June 4th (my next weigh in with the nutritionist), I hope to be very close to 400 or possibly below (won't get my hopes up).

I am on month 2 of my 6 month supervised diet for the insurance. And I hope to continue to lose weight until I finally have surgery.

You'll do great! Keep your head up.

I recently signed up for the surgery and got scheduled in Mexico for Aug.5. They first told me that I had to do the pre diet for 4 weeks and I was upset because I wanted to travel with my cousin who is having it the same day and place. So they told me that if I got my BMI dow really well they would do it. My problem is I'm not sure of what I need to do to get my BMI down fast. Its at 70 right now. I weight 440 pounds and I dont like any of the protein drinks. I like the snack bars they are ok but that's about all. HELP, I'm afraid they wont do the surgery if I haven't lost enough. I have two weeks!!!!!!

Yolanda,

I know that you must have lost weight before, so my suggestion is that you think about how important it is to you and bite the bullet :seeya: for two weeks. If you don't like the shakes, try something from BJ's, which is either vanilla, or chocolate whey shake powder. You'll probably want to sweeten it some, but two weeks of non-nutrative sweeteners isn't going to kill you. Also use 1% milk for the shakes. There are Soup mixes too, that don't taste too bad. My Dr.'s office sells them.

If it's important enough to you, you can do it. Only you can decide. You can also eat salads, with 1 part oil and 5 parts balsamic vinegar, with some sweetener in it and some italian type seasonings. I love it and I don't miss the oil. Stay away from cheese, nuts and anything else high in carbs and fat. Think about everything that you put on your food and hit those veggies hard.:ihih:

I can diet for two weeks and lose 15 pounds, but to keep it up is tough, without help, ergo the surgery. If you set your mind to it, you can do it. It's only two weeks.

Rob
