I am glad to know that is normal. Today is my third day on the liquid diet and I have lost 5 pounds! I figured it was water weight but hey I will take anything!!

Yes, it's normal. You've probably entered ketosis, which is kicked-off by a sudden and sometimes very substantial loss of body fluids. In the first two week of ketosis, you can figure that about 20% of the weight you lose is fat, while the rest is fluid.

So will it slow down? I mean Im sure it will at some point, but, if it does, what does it slow down to. I have to continue this for 3 more weeks total, giving after my surgery, I will have to do it for 2 weeks.
