53 and stuck at a 53# weightnloss

Down About 50# Banded 7/26/07. Can anyone suggest some new things to eat? Lots of foods get stuck. Have been eating things that go down easy (the wrong things like ice cream) so my weight loss is not as good as it could/ should be:confused:

Try some homemade soups. The possibilities are endless! The soup is a good way to get lots of vegetables in. Good luck.

I loved your title. I'm 52 and am down 52 lbs. I started the journey in November, banded in December and lately had a really difficult time getting off this plateau! I've gotten in a program with a personal trainer, but haven't lost since. I'd like to believe that I'm gaining muscle, but I'm not really there. Oh well.....

I was banded 8-8-07. I have been at 43/44lbs since Christmas. I cant seem to get anywhere. I wonder if this is where I am going to stay. When I got my last fill the Dr pretty much said this was it on the fills. Said to come in if I needed to. I am VERY discouraged. I was hoping to have at least 75lbs off by now.

The key is to eat Protein fruits and veggies and stay away from any type of white carbs. Unfortunately, all the junk food goes down the easiest.

I would never have been able to lose all my weight without exercising almost every day too.

There are some nutritious things that will go down easy, but really if you can't eat, then you are too tight. I just refuse to get my band so tight I can't eat.

Try some canned vegetables or get those steamer bags of vegetables and fix those. They go down easy. I cook roast or chicken and make salad with relish, onion, and miracle whip (only 35 calories per serving, I think). I eat it on crackers because I like the crunch. Hummus is good for you and very soft. Keep track of what you eat and start exercising.

Hang in there
