No Restriction

I received my 3rd fill 3 days ago, and like the previous 2 all went well. No pain or discomfort. I was banded on Jan 7, 2008 and I"ve only lost 30 lbs. I have 5.25 cc's in my band. I donot feel any restriction and can eat almost anything. HELP! Should I request another fill?:confused2:

:rolleyes2:you were banded 4 months ago and you've lost more than a lb a week.

my dr thinks you should average 1-2 lbs a week.

you must have some restriction to be losing weight. i have had 2 fills so far 5cc's in a 14cc band sometimes I feel restricted and sometimes i don't but i think it depends on what i'm eating.

I think I would give it a little more time, you have to consider the size of your band and how much weight you still have to lose. 30lbs since Jan is fantasic. somtimes the restriction might not kick in right away it could be delayed up to four weeks. hang in there!

I was lucky. My MD placed 5 CC's in my band at the time of surgery. I've had two fills and am now at 7.2 CC's and have great restriction. I hope you next fill does it for you. Good luck. SS
