I just found this website tonight.
Anyway, the surgery went well according to the doctor although there was swelling and they couldn't inject any saline at all because of that. They say I have a "natural" band. Ha! A lot of pain the first 16 hours and then I quit using pain relievers (morphine) all together probably around the 20th hour. With all their lap-band patients, they had me stay at the hospital. After that, I went to stay for a couple days at my sister's to recover for a bit. That ended up being a great idea, especially the first day since I was just too slow moving around (Thank you Anne!). I'm back home as of last night. I was able to drive two hours in the pooring rain home fine. Each day get's better pain wise. The worst is moving my body around in bed. Less burping too. I'll be on a liquid diet for two weeks and see the doctor the end of that two weeks.
