you are on the ball chris, I got your PM and replied...Hey, everyone...chris and I are both getting banded by Kuri on 4/8...wow!!! Someone answer her question because I have no clue!! Bumping and hello!

I have not been on them long term, but have had multiple doses of them due to recurrent Pericarditis. My surgeon has told me that this ok, and that since they are not a continuing thing, that it shouldn't affect my band negatively.

I would definately ask your surgeon what their opinion is, and hopefully they will steer you in the right direction.

I was on prednizone, for Ulcerative Colitus back in 2000, My doc was very aware of my history...Not a problem.

Not on any steroids for years now

I was on steroids when I was banded for my asthma. My surgeon told me to take the steroids with real chocolate milk, not skim milk. What exactly are your concerns?

My main concern is that I won't be as successful with the band because much of my weight is a direct result of steroids and other medications. (I've been banded for less than 2 weeks.)
