Traveling after surgery

I am having surgery in Tijuana, Mexico on April 7th (I live in Dallas) so of course I will have to travel after the surgery to come home. But because I didn't have any time off from work I had to take a leave of absence for a solid week... and I decided to go to Las Vegas on April 10th - 13th to maximize my week off. The tickets are purchased and the hotel is booked so I am going but I just wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions or advice on what to expect?
