Preparing for the pre-surgical liquid diet

I am going shopping today to get items for my one week liquid diet. I have to have no more than 50 carbs per day and a min of 80g of protein. I purchased a container of low carb protein powder at GNC and a shaker yesterday. I have also purchased a few sugar free DaVinci syrups to add some flavor. It looks like I can have broth and cream soups as well. My surgery is on April 4 so I have to begin this diet next Friday.

I feel better. I went home and had a bowl of cream of broccoli soup and a protein drink. I still feel a little dizzy - I just have to get used to this. I am happy it is the weekend! I can get used to it at home! LOL

Anyway, I just made some protein cheesecake flavored pudding so that should help as well!

I am starting day 2 of the liquids and it seems a little better. I am getting excited about the surgery - it is less that a week away! Yipee, I cant wait to wear regular clothes!! I went shopping with my 19 year old daughter and she bought the cutest outfits - I cant wait to be able to wear cute things!
