Advice

I just found this site and signed up. I was approved to get my band. I will be getting this done April 24th and I am a little nervous. Is there any advice you guys can give me for between now and then. And what to expect after I get it done.

Thanks.

My advice to read every part of this board. You will never be able to find more information anywhere else. This is a great site!

Welcome and best of luck with your surgery.

Welcome!

My advice is to do your best to follow the bandster guidelines you get from your doctor, and don't get frustrated if you aren't losing as fast as you hope. This is a long-term job.

And definitely have some support system in place for when the going gets rough. Either here, or SmartBandsters, or some other group or person who can encourage you & challenge you.

Best wishes on your surgery!!

I figure us dads have to stick together. Congrats on your upcoming surgery. I recomend you spend some time in this forum, post as often as possible, don't be affraid to say what you really think. Most any question you could possible have can be found here.

I would start right where you are... Go through all the Pre Op surgery threads read the questions posed and the answers... You can truely never have too much knowledge.

I had to wait 6 months before my surgery so I have just spent the whole time reading up on what to expect and adjusting my lifestyle to fit it before i get banded
