My initial consult is today

What should I expect? What questions should I ask? DH is actually taking part of the day off work to come with me. I'm not 100% sure I want to do this, but I know I have to do something. I'm nervous!

How many has he done? How long has he done this? How many has he had to remove? Why? (slippage)What the cost includes? What pre-op test/labs he requires? What brand of band does he use and what size band does he use? What kind of after support does he offer? (groups or meetings) Just a few thoughts. Good luck and congrats!

Good luck it's not as scary once you do the initial visit

CarolAnne: How was your initial consult appt? Are you excited? Or depressed? I was depressed after my first consult because I found out that with a BMI or 58 they wanted me to lose 48 lbs before they will do surgery. I am over being pissed and am working on it. Maybe have surgery in May.
