NSV means "non-scale victory." These are the successes we all experience that are not tied to the numbers on the scale. It's very important to observe and Celebrate these, because as we all know the numbers LIE. Smaller clothes and new physical achievements are more important than the simple dropping of pounds. You'll be celebrating yours before you know it! :)

You guys are so great. Jamin aren't you next week?? We both have 102 to go. I would saw I'd race you but you have 6 -8 weeks on me. So you'll have to save a spot for me on the healthy, thin, feeling fabulous side of life.

Debbydo~Yes my surgery is Friday the 18th of March !!! That is so cool we have exactly the same amount of weight to lose. I'm saying my goal is to get to 150 but if I lose the 102 and get to 150 I say I'll keep trying for more like 135 . I will DEFFINATLY SAVE YOU A SPOT ON THE HEALTHY SIDE IN BAND LAND OKAY!!!! LOL!!!

Hey you never know we might could race. It would give us an insentive to lose thats for sure. Either way we will both get to our goals and be healthy again. When is your surgery date Debbie? You said about 6 weeks but what is your date?GOOD LUCK!!! Jamie

No exact date yet but my final consult with the surgeon is April 1. I have a family vacation 4/23-4/30 in Disney World. Do not want to be a newbie bandster on vacation. I'm hoping for the first week in May. I have a liberal PPO policy so the surgeon is pretty confident( Because of experience) I won't have trouble getting approved. Who know's I'm trying not to get tooooooooooooooo excited just in case the insurance thing takes long or falls through.

Day after St Patrick's day. Does beer count as a pre opt liqiud LOLOLOLOLOL

You want to get to 115 , how tall are you???

I'm 5 9" I would be a waff at 115. 140 is my goal. I remember feeling really good at that weight.

Debbie I said I would like to get to 135 not 115. I'm only 5'0 tall so I think around 135 would be small eough . Plus I am Large boned and I would look like a skeleton if I weighed 115 TOO! LOL!! My first goal is 150 that is the smallest I've ever been and that was after I lost close to 70 pounds to get there. So I figure that 150 would be realistic for me.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
