Help on liquids????

Does anyone know anything else I can eat on liquids besides jello and broth. I feel like I'm getting weak, I have no energy. I even have a really bad head ache! I don't mean to whine already, but I'm hoping there's something else I could be eating. My surgery is Tues. 11th, and Ive been on clear liquids since Monday. So that's a little over a week! Anyone have any suggestions??

Got to be creative and think outside the box.

Hot chocolate

Cereal...Froot Loops- pour the cereal and then milk...let it sit 5 minutes, drink it up! Don't get the cereal...just milk.

Lets see...what else.... pumpkin Soup if you can figure out how to make it.

Good luck.

Hang in there.

That's not much Protein, if yu have to do that for more than 2 days. You can add Isopure CLEAR pre-mixed drinks. The extra protein will help keep you full and they are considered a clear liquid. GNC sells them. Lots of flavors. Drink them very cold.

Some people are not fond of the taste, but I like them and still use them if I need extra protein. Yes, you can get sick of the taste, if you drink them all day long. Low calorie, no carbs and lots of protein!

I am having a glass as I type this. The apple melon flavor, becasue I had a fill today and need to be on liquids!

Oh and how about sugar free popsicles!

P.S. Clear liquids are CLEAR. Milk is considered a "full" liquid and cream Soups are considered "full" liquids as well. broth is clear.

Hang in there, PreKTeacher, and make sure you get plenty of Water and Protein. Depending on what you were eating before the pre-op diet, your headache might be from sugar withdrawal. (I had that when I did South Beach diet a couple of years ago.) Tylenol will help and in a day or so, it should pass.

Check out the thread for 3/11 bandsters under March 2008 support groups. We're all in this together... Oh, no, now I sound like my daughter's High School Musical soundtrack! :crying:

Popsicles is the only thing I could think of. My Dr. says they are considered clear liquid (I guess if they weren't frozen, they would be clear.

I would like to thank all of you for your help and support. This is great - I mean to have someone to talk to and ask when we have prioblems! It is like a HUGE support group! I love it. And, by the way, I am feeling much better today. I went for my pre-op visit and I'm ready for Tuesday! I'm excited and nervous!
