I'm considering getting banded. A friend used Dr. Nussbaum for gastric bypass and loved him. I went to the information seminar and liked him too. Then my allergist told me not to go to St. B's that she has a great doc in the city with lower complications.

Did anyone use Dr. Nussbaum and can someone give me a clue how to research a surgeon?

I absolutely loved Dr. Nusbaum. He's incredibly caring and compassionate. I think he's one of the best. I chose him because I knew of several other people who went to him and thought he was incredible also.

His staff is also right on the ball and very supportive as well. I would even have to say that my stay at St. Barnabas was fine too, no problems at all.

It's up to you as you need to be comfortable with your choice, but I would highly recommend Nusbaum.

I'm using dr. nussbaum on July 1. SO SCARED but his rep sounds great. Question for you - whom did you use as a nutritionist? I'm the type who is scared, takes things seriously, and will do EXACTLY as told, provided I am clearly told what to do. Any ideas for me?
