:confused2:I am a mail carrier and am suppose to return to work in 1 week I lift heavy trays and parcels will I be okay to do this or will I be in pain. I am only allowed one week off.

Hi! Good to see a fellow mail carrier on here. I had surgery last november and went back to my route after 11 days. I was fine by that time. I probably could have done it after a week but i would have still been a little sore. Best of luck on your surgery.

do they not give you FMLA? FMLA authorizes up to 12 weeks a year. It would depend on how you progress, however the heavy lifting is worrisome. They don't have to know specifically what surgery you are having.
