opinion please, surgery date/traveling

Hi,

I went to my consult today and i'm in the process of setting a surgery date (my husband and i decided to self-pay). I was thinking of getting it April 1st, but just realized i'm traveling for work on 4/13 for a few days. Do you think i'll feel ok to do this or should i wait? I'll be taking a week off from work after the surgery, but i'm not sure if it's ok to travel. While away i'll be attending a conference and can go to my room whenver i want if i'm not feeling well, but again...is this a good idea?

You can probably handle it. You won't be 100 percent yet, but as long as you can rest whenever you need to it'll probably be alright. I took 3 weeks off of work personally & am glad I was able to. You will need to be extra careful not to sit still for too long- to avoid blood clots and whatnot. Get up and walk around every 30 minutes or so. Good Luck!
