Prayers please!

I'm scheduled to be banded a week from tomorrow BUT I woke up with the worst cough/cold I've ever had in my life. I've had this bronchitis for almost three months now so the surgeon had already scheduled me for a chest x-ray on Tuesday. I'm so frustrated and upset that this might put off my surgery for another month!

Please pray that I'll miraculously get better for the chest x-ray. AND if that doesn't work...pray that I won't have a meltdown when the surgery is postponed. =(

Thank you!

Thank you so much, girls!

I don't smoke but you'd think I did as much as I keep bronchitis! I'm feeling a little better tonight...still holding out for that miracle! =)

Potentially positive news...

I just talked to my surgeon's nurse and told her how sick I am and asked if it was worth my time to go for the chest x-ray tomorrow. She said that he rarely, RARELY cancels a surgery unless the patient has a high fever. That's encouraging news. I'll keep you posted! Keep praying!

Glad you are feeling better. Keep up with the liquids, that makes a diffence. I have Asthma and suffer from chronic coughs a lot. 64 ounces of water a day makes a big difference. Good luck! You are almost there.:pray2:

Gibson,

I'm pulling for you. I went through almost the same thing. I was diagnosed with pneumonia 3 weeks before my surgery. However, really strong antibiotics and a few other drugs helped me through it. I have to get one more chest x-ray this week before my surgery next Monday. I'm sure everything will be just fine.

Take extra care of yourself and you will shake this bronchitis!

Good Luck Gibson, I'll keep you in my prayers! I hope it all works out for you, and you are banded right on schedule! Please keep warm and take special care of yourself this week!

God bless you - let us know how you are doing!

Thank you guys! I love this place. =) One new thing that may be in my favor is that tomorrow is going to be snowy and bad so I might not be able to make the trip. If I have to go later in the week I'll have more time to get better! =)
