pre-op diet question

quick question. i was never told to do a pre op diet. i did all i was supposed to do, and been submitted to insurance for approval, should take about 2 weeks, then i have to make an appointment with the surgeon to set a surgery date. so im guessing i wont be on a pre op diet? but i was wondering if someone can tell me what it is, i think i want to do it while im waiting, hearing about all this success..i want to get down a few lbs before my birthday next week, and plus less i got to lose after the surgery. any help is appreciated. thanks!!

I didn't get my preop instructions til I went for my preop appt. and have been on my preop diet for about a week now... You'll probably get your instructions then.. but there are a few who don't have to do a preop.. I wouldn't worry about it too much your Dr will direct you! Good Luck!
